Blitz se formo en Derbyshire en Inglaterra, aproximadamente en 1980.Sus canciones siguen influyendo en bandas como Rancid que hizo el cover de someone's gonna die, Distillers con Warriors, y Oximoron con el cover de la cancion New Age.Lamentablemente el guitarrista de esta banda Allan "Nidge" Miller sufrio un accidente que le costo la vida mientras hacian una gira por Texas, pero a pesar de ello Blitz aun continua tocando y espero que sea por mucho tiempo mas.
